Stomach ulcers also known as peptic ulcers, it is an open sore on an external or internal surface of the body, caused by a break in the skin or mucous membrane that fails to heal.

No single cause has been found for ulcers. However, it is now clear that an ulcer is the end result of an imbalance between digestive fluids inthe stomach and duodenum. Most ulcers are causedby an infection with a type of bacteria called Helicobacter pylori.

A stomach ulcer is usually caused by an infection with a germ (bacterium) called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
There is need for you to treat ulcer immediately you notice that you have got it. Failure to do that, it will get severe.

1. Heartburn
Heartburns are pointers for stomach ulcers. A burning sensation in the chest can happendue to intake of spicy foods but if it persists and over the counter drugs don’t provide relief, see a doctor.

2. Hiccups and Burps
When hiccups and burps are persistent after eating or taking water or just ‘naturally’ (which isn’t) then it’s time to see a doctor for proper examination.

3. Stomach Pain
Stomach ulcers arise from the discomfort following painful sores around the stomach lining.Persistent stomach pain/sharp or dagger-like pain in the stomach may form early pointers to stomach ulcers and this should be taken care off as soon as possible.

4. Bloating
Bloating or feeling heavy even when not necessarily filled up with food is another sign that could indicate stomach ulcer

5. Indigestion
Indigestion is another common sign that indicates stomach ulcer. If after eating anything  and there’s a persistent feeling of discomfort or feeling of indigestion, see a doctor.

6. Nausea
A constant nauseous feeling especially after eating is something to be addressed by seeing a physician.

Also note that ulcers can lead to serious health problems, including: Bleeding, Perforation (a hole through the wall of the stomach, Gastric outlet obstructionfrom swelling or scarring that blocks the passageway leading from the stomach to the small intestine.
